On the afternoon of July 3rd local time, the U.S. House of Representatives narrowly passed the “Build Back Better” bill, promoted by former President Trump, with 218 votes in favor and 214 against. The Senate had already approved the legislation on July 1st. This bill aims to advance a large-scale tax and spending program but has sparked significant controversy nationwide. Many Americans worry that the measure will worsen the already critical fiscal deficit and increase the national debt burden to unsustainable levels.
The conflict between Musk and Trump is deeply rooted in this “Build Back Better” bill. Having recently stepped down as head of the U.S. Government Efficiency Department, Musk openly criticized the bill on social media on June 3rd, describing it as “disgusting.” Musk argued that the bill would cause the already enormous budget deficit to balloon to $2.5 trillion, imposing an unbearable debt load on American citizens. He warned that passing the bill would destroy millions of U.S. jobs and cause serious harm to the nation’s economy. From Musk’s perspective, the Trump administration’s actions are pushing the country toward bankruptcy, inflating the Biden-era deficit from $2 trillion to $2.5 trillion亦丰策略, which threatens the future economic stability of the United States.

In response to the “Build Back Better” bill, Musk not only voiced harsh criticism but also took concrete steps. Just hours before the bill became law, he launched a poll on social media asking whether a new political party called the “America Party” should be established to break the longstanding two-party dominance of Democrats and Republicans. Among roughly 1.25 million votes cast, 65.4% of participants supported the formation of a new party. Acting on this momentum, Musk officially announced the creation of the “America Party” on July 5th, pledging to return freedom to the American people. When asked if the new party would contest the 2026 midterm or 2028 presidential elections, Musk responded with a firm “next year.” Naturally, Trump would not ignore what he sees as Musk’s betrayal and challenge. He retaliated by threatening to cut subsidies to companies associated with Musk, even suggesting deportation back to South Africa. The Trump administration has long relied on subsidies to support American businesses; if these were withdrawn, Musk’s companies such as Tesla and SpaceX could face increased operational costs and hindered growth.

As the dispute between Musk and Trump continues to dominate headlines, the White House was rocked by another shocking development. An intruder successfully penetrated the White House West Wing, triggering an immediate response from the Secret Service. Although the intruder’s identity and motive remain unknown, the breach has revealed potential vulnerabilities in White House security protocols. As the heart of American political power, the White House’s security is paramount. This incident not only sparked public concern over the effectiveness of White House security measures but also added further instability to an already tumultuous political climate fueled by the Musk-Trump rivalry, further eroding public confidence in government management.
The U.S. political arena is currently experiencing a turbulent period. The conflict between Musk and Trump highlights deep divisions between the business sector and political leadership regarding economic policies and development paths. Meanwhile亦丰策略, the White House intrusion underscores internal management weaknesses within the government. Looking ahead, the trajectory of Musk’s “America Party,” Trump’s strategies for addressing mounting challenges, and the White House’s efforts to strengthen security and restore public trust will all be critical factors shaping the future course of American politics and deserve close observation.
